An Impressive Aquamarine Ring
This impressive ring was made by the Kutchinsky jewellery house in London in 1968-69. The large step-cut aquamarine of an extraordinary 28.2 carats is set in an 18-carat gold mount composed of abstract, organic forms. Kutchinsky made superb jewellery from the eighteen-nineties onwards, but the house is best known for the jewellery it began to produce in the nineteen-thirties. Marked with hallmarks for London, 18 carat gold, the date letter n for 1968/69 and the maker’s mark K for Kutchinsky.
