A Corkscrew with a Parrot

This curious looking parrot has beautifully engraved feathers. It sits atop a baluster-shaped shaft that conceals the iron spiral of the corkscrew. The parrot acts as a handle, turning it around allows the corkscrew to be brought out. The baluster stem is decorated with detailed masks, shell motifs and fleur-de-lis ornaments set against a matted background. The round platform at the bottom can also be unscrewed. It has an awl on it that can also function as a toothpick.
