A Miniature Doghouse

This silver miniature doghouse was made in Amsterdam in 1765 by Arnoldus van Geffen.
The oblong house shaped kennel stands on a silver base which has rounded corners at the front. The front of the house has a bell shaped facade with a sloping plain roof behind it. The dog stands halfway out of the house. At the base the miniature is hallmarked with the mark of Amsterdam with the year letter for 1765 conjoined and the maker's mark a post horn in a heart shaped shield.
