This smooth pear-shaped miniature jug is standing on a stand ring. Opposite the spout is an S-shaped handle mounted with the hinge on top to which the lid is attached. An attractive shell-shaped thumb rest is mounted on the hinge.
Marked on the underneath with the city mark of Amsterdam with the date letter for 1749 conjoined and the makers's mark DVS for Daniel van Strant.
