This delightful caster has a completely plain, baluster-shaped body. The removable cover has open openworked sprinkle openings, some of them are heart-shaped. The caster is fully marked on the underside of the round base with the Amsterdam assay mark, the date letter for 1744 and the makers' mark of Daniël van Strant.
